Grayson 2nd Birthday

I know this is 2 days late but my allergies have been acting up and i just have not had the energy. Well Monday March 1st Grayson Michael was 2 years old!!!!!!!!! Still in shock i cant believe its been this long already. When he was born he was 4 pounds 7 ounces now he is 25 pounds. I asked the doctor if he is small for his age and he said no that for him being a preemie that he is right on track. And believe me the boy eats me out of house and home. He is very active and talks my ear off. Loves to be outside and to play with tools (especially the hammer lol). Can name off many of his body parts head, nose,ears etc. I am starting to work with him on counting and it was going good for awhile but now when I say "1" Grayson says "5" so we are making progress slowly but surely. Potty training it harder then it looks just like counting its like when we take 1 steps forward we take 2 steps back. But we will continue to work at it. Grayson newest favorite toy is PaPa (my step-dad) guitar. It cracks me up watching him watch my step dad play and him try to imitate him. On Monday I dressed Grayson in a shirt I made for him but I forgot to get a picture of him in it. His Nanny (great grandmother on his dad side) brought a cake and some punch up to the daycare for him in his friends. She said she will get me a disk and I will post pictures when I get it. The next couple weeks are going to be hectic this Saturday Grayson is in a wedding. Then from there we are going to the duck pond for him to take pictures. Then the following Saturday March 13th is his party I am so excited. Just have some last minute things to do to get ready.Well i believe that's all for now until next time everyone be safe enjoy the early signs of spring.

Playing Catch Up!!!

Well since my last post not a lot has changed. I have gotten all the decorations for Grayson's party. I was so happy when i went to Card and Party Factory because they were having alot of there sports theme decor for 99 cents (and no that is not a type o)I was so happy. I order his cake i am so excited to see how it turns out. Only things left on my to-do list is some finger foods and fillers for the goody bags.

Well the flu has hit our house. Grayson had it Friday night and Saturday night but during the day he was fine. Then Monday night i got it. And coming from some one who had morning sickness every single morning for the first 3 months I have never been that sick. It was horrible but luckily my mom took Grayson to daycare for me and i got to rest the whole day. I am so glad i am feeling myself today.

This weekend we are going to so to our local Livestock Show and Carnival.Please don't rain which it seems to every year. I hope everyone has a good weekend and avoids the flu.

Prep for Party!!!!!!

Well how has everyone been? Us just perfect other then the weather its been raining all day. I have been getting everything ready for Grayson 2nd birthday. That sounds so scary to say but my lil boy is growing up so fast. Last year i was over prepared for his party now this year not so much. Shame on me:( But i have a location booked and the day picked(obviously). His gift is on order and should be in by the time of his party. This Saturday i have enlisted the help of one of my best friends to help pick out decorations.(i am just not that good at crafty stuff). I know what kind of cake i am ordering but don't have a theme yet so still waiting to order that. I am just in a play back of the last two years. He has grown so much and looks totally different. I know i am going to cry like a big baby the day of his birthday and the day of his party. I am just so blessed that he is healthy happy and so darn smart. Well better go cook dinner we are having tacos my sisters favorite. But here is a picture of Grayson sporting his mohawlk.

Recap of this weekend

Well this weekend was so much fun. After work on Friday i picked Grayson up from daycare and we went to Casa Ole. Love there chips and hot sauce its amazing. Grayson loved them as well he had to get his own Green Sauce (not sure the real name) because he kept double dipping. He amazes me with how much he will eat. I always say he eats everything that does not eat him. HAHAHA I can count my lucky stars about that he is not a picky eater. Well Saturday we went over to his Nanny house to visit with her for a little bit. Then my step-dad calls us to go over to the horse pens with him to ride the horse. I was so scared that Grayson would be scared and not want to pet them. But he was fearless he tried to walk straight up to the horse and get on.

TGIF

I always love Fridays. Its so laid back at work. And this weather is perfect compared to all the rain we got in South Texas last week ewwwwww. I strongly dislike the rain especially because Grayson and i live on the second floor of our apartment. Its really hard trying to make sure he is all bundled up and covered and running to get out of the rain. But this weekend should be fun we can hang out at the park and play with a bike Grayson got for Christmas. I just love the spring. Then the Texas summers hit and u can barley breath outside because its so hot. Grayson and I will just have to enjoy the cool weather while it last. I am in the mood to cook a big supper tonight but i would have to go to the grocery store and if you know me you know i can not stand to grocery shop. Well I better go for now. Enjoy your weekend.

Hello Bloggers

This being my first post i am not sure how to start. I am 19 a single mom of a wonderful little boy Grayson Michael. He was born March 1st 2008 at 5:47 p.m. via c-section. At 28 weeks pregnant i developed preeclampsia and was hospitalize for about a week. When released from the hospital i was put on bed rest. Without asking the Dr. at 35 weeks i thought that i would just run and get my hair cut real quickly not realizing that it was the trip that changed my life. My water broke in the car so I was rushed to the hospital. I was strapped up with all kinds of monitors. My doctor had an ultrasound tech come and she found that his umbilical cord was on his shoulder. I was put on pitocin to induce labor. But then after being put on my side his heart rate started to drop. After i was checked my Dr. decided that i was not dilating and his heart rate was just continuing to drop. So i was rushed to the o.r. for and emergency c-section. Once Grayson was delivered and cleaned I only got to get a peak of him before he was taken to the N.I.C.U to be checked. He weighed 4 lbs 7 ozs and was 18 3/4 inches long. My doctor said he was stuck in my birth canal. I was so scared not knowing if he was going to make it. All i could do was sit in my room the first night and pray to God to save my little boy. Grayson spent a total of 8 days in the N.I.C.U and i know i should thank God it was not longer but they were the longest 8 days of my life.

Now almost 2 years later (wow that is scary to say) he is happy healthy and ffffffffuuuuullllllll of energy. He keeps me going that is for sure. I never knew you could love someone as much as you do your children.
